Registered Aboriginal Parties Map

The Victorian Aboriginal Heritage Council determines which applicants will be appointed as Registered Aboriginal Parties. There are currently 11 RAPs in Victoria:

These RAPs currently cover approximately 66% of Victoria.

The location of each RAP can be viewed by using the Online map tool. Select the Layers button on the toolbar above the map and then select the checkbox next to Appointed RAPs. (ACHRIS supports Chrome and Firefox browsers. Chrome is recommended.)
The Victorian Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 (the Act) recognises Aboriginal people as the primary guardians, keepers and knowledge holders of Aboriginal cultural heritage. At a local level, Registered Aboriginal Parties (RAPs) are the voice of Aboriginal people in the management and protection of Aboriginal cultural heritage in Victoria.
