Maggolee Webinar: First Peoples Employment in Local Government

Reconciliation Victoria is continuing our Maggolee webinar series to support Victorian local governments to strengthen partnerships with First Peoples and implement the Victorian Aboriginal and Local Government Strategy 2021-2026.

On 23 February 2024, Reconciliation Victoria hosted a Maggolee webinar to discuss reconciliation and the benefits, strategies and opportunities for employment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in local councils.

Reconciliation Victoria CEO, Nicole Findlay was joined by panel members from metro and regional Victorian councils, including:

  • Joanne Brunt, Coordinator Employment Development at Latrobe City Council
  • Desirae Kilduff, First Peoples Employment Officer at Merri-bek CityCouncil
  • Elijah Louttit, First Peoples Engagement Officer at Moonee Valley City Council
